FAQ related to Driven by Freude

1. You need to download the CarVia app and register with your personal data, ID, drivers license and a valid payment method.
2. Visit us at BMW Welt at our counter between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. to get the final activation in person (it takes less than 5 minutes).
3. Now you can rent a car whenever (as in 24/7) you want by opening the the CarVia App and simply driving off.

You must be at least 25 years old and have held your driver's license for more than 2 years. You must also have a credit card with at least €1,500 in available credit for any temporary deposits we may take.

The cars are all insured against third party liability. In addition, there is fully comprehensive and theft cover of €2,000 in the event of damage.
The fully comprehensive and theft cover is liable for damage caused to the rental car. Damage caused by gross negligence or intent is not covered by fully comprehensive insurance. (e.g. driving under the influence of alcohol, car is left open and stolen, renter travels to an unauthorized country, a driver not specified in the rental agreement drives the rental car, etc.).

Yes. You can rent one car up to 7 days. After 7 days the car must be returned to the BMW Welt again.

The available vehicles are either on the forecourt directly in front of BMW Welt or in the underground parking garage. We will be happy to help you on site if you cannot find the cars.

Sure, whether you're going - shopping in the city or to the nearest lake for a swim. You can park your BMW rental car at any time. This is also possible without a key directly via the app with the so-called parking mode. Please make sure to pay any parking fees depending on the specific location.

You can reserve your BMW for 15 minutes. This can also be done via the app and is possible two times so that you can block your desired car for a total of 30 minutes if, for example, you still have to get to BMW Welt.
